AS-MADE STUDIO is a London-based architecture and design studio specialising in residential extensions, refurbishments and interiors.
We design homes around the way people actually live — finding better ways to use space, bring in light, connect rooms and introduce materials and details that give a home its character.
Alongside the design, we bring structure and clarity to what can otherwise be a complicated process. From planning and budgets to technical information and construction, we help clients understand what comes next and make informed decisions along the way.
The studio works with private homeowners and property professionals across London and the surrounding areas. We can guide a project from its earliest ideas through to completion, or join at the stage where our input is most useful.
Our process
One studio, three clear stages.
From understanding what is possible to carrying the design through to completion.
Planning
We start by understanding how you live, what you want to change and what the property could realistically become. From there, we explore the possibilities and develop a clear design that balances ambition, budget and the character of the existing home.
We can also advise before you buy a property, helping you understand its potential before making a commitment.
Technical design
Once the overall design is established, we work through the detail. Architecture, interiors, materials, joinery and specialist input are brought together into a coordinated package, giving you and the contractor a much clearer understanding of what is being built.
This is where many of the decisions that determine the quality of the finished home are made.
Construction
During construction, we stay involved to answer questions, review important details and help resolve the decisions that inevitably arise on site.
The aim is simple: to make sure the thinking developed during design is not lost during the build, and that the finished home feels as considered as it did on paper.
